We’ve Got The Notion is the brain-child of quilter Liz Canty, a life long seamstress and quilter. A downturn in family business, allowing more free time, and her love of all things quilting inspired her to contact friend and fellow quilter Teri Tope. The idea: that there are so many quilting and sewing notions on the market, many bought sight unseen that become either a favorite or seldom used. The solution: create a home based party to demonstrate, debunk, and confirm anything having to do with quilting and sewing notions. Together Liz and Teri have searched their closets, sewing room and even garages for what they consider the best in sewing notions.

Liz Canty was taught to sew as a child by her grandmother. She has been predominately a quilter for the past 16 years. Liz has a passion for piecing, the civil war era and all things vintage.

Teri Tope has been quilting for 25 years. She has a flair for the dramatic, the brighter the better. She is a professional quilter, produces her own line of patterns “Material Girl Designs”, teaches and lectures. Teri is an avid appliquér.
